It Pours

I’ve been absent for a long time, almost two months with no post. But let me tell you: life has been happening, so much life that it’s prevented me from putting a coherent thought together. Now I find myself in the position of having so much to tell, I can’t begin to tell it. Here’s the rain of bullets, scattershot:

- I renovated the spare bedroom.
- I quit my job.
- My cat had a huge abscess and needed surgery.
- On the same day, my dog suffered a gastric tortion and almost died.
- My Toronto boyfriend came to visit.
- He stripped and painted the bathroom.
- The roof needed replacing. Everything: boards, tar, chimney pots, fascia, eavestroughing.
- An electrician wired the basement.
- The roofers broke the skylight.
- We had a huge party at the beach.
- I cleaned out the basement.
- I got a new job.
- Three yard sales later...
- Strangers moved into my house.
- The ferret ate a piece of roofing and had to have surgery.
- Linn packed up everything he owns.
- I threw away or donated to Sally Ann a ridiculous quantity of gack.
- I packed up everything I own.
- Linn’s in Ontario, on Canada World Youth.
- He goes to India in December.
- I drove for two days with the cat and the dog in the car.
- I live in Toronto now.
