The universe, in its fathomless wisdom, has seen fit to make me a grandmother at the distinguished age of 46. I had my only son at 21, so I guess I shouldn't be so damn startled. Even so, given my rock and roll proclivities, the grandmother role is an odd fit. I think. Maybe.

That's my excuse, but I didn't really have anything exciting to say in the first one....

Hope the blizzard's not actually dangerous, if so then there are just too many natural disasters around at the moment. We're pretty much on diametrically opposed sections of the globe and yet both of us are being flung around in God's almighty cocktail shaker.
Mine's a long island ice tea and I'm buying. Hope Spring comes early this year,
